Cambria launches Dungeon Fishing
Cambria’s latest feature, Dungeon Fishing, is now in early beta. This idle gameplay mode allows players to fish for valuable items, including Sacks of Gems, Charm Cards, and NFTs, all of which can be converted into Keys. New players can claim up to 30,000 free Grub from the in-game NPC Mirelle within the next seven days.
The Dungeon Fishing mode contrasts with Cambria’s high-risk extraction gameplay. Players can buy bait, go AFK, and later return to find rewards that replace the tension of dangerous zones with a more casual experience.
How it works
At its core, Dungeon Fishing revolves around Mirelle Kain, who facilitates the transaction of bait known as Mirelle’s Grub. Players can fish at a pond using an Ice Fishing Rod—initially obtained from Viktor for 10 Arena Tokens—and accumulate both fish and Angler Sacks over time. These sacks contain varying rewards determined by the player’s choice of rod modifiers and stake amounts.
Players can mix and match three rod settings—Balanced, Steady, and Degen—affecting the expected rewards while maintaining a consistent overall value. The high-tier T4 Massive Angler Sack can only be achieved by using a stake of 10 or more with specific rod settings.
Attraction and gear systems
Two main systems provide long-term incentives. Attraction acts as a return-to-player rate. By earning Mirelle’s Favor through bait purchases, players can purchase permanent boosts across ten levels, culminating in a 90 percent Attraction rate. Each fishing cast also nets Scales, which can further enhance Attraction levels.
Gear progression is another aspect. Players gain Fishing Power through XP earned from each catch, which allows for improved fishing capabilities and unlocks Genesis Points relevant for the upcoming RSGP token event. Daily fishing quests also serve to reward players with Scales and Keys, while rare fish contribute to collections yielding Depths Keys.
Rewards structure
The Angler Sacks offer significant prizes, notably the Uncut Emerald, the most sought-after reward correlating with the sack tier. Players can collect or trade Charm Cards and obtain various NFTs tied to the Cambria ecosystem. The studio emphasizes that all rewards can be converted to Keys, integrating Dungeon Fishing into the broader game economy.
About Cambria
Cambria is a risk-to-earn MMORPG set in a post-catastrophic world where players extract loot from PvPvE zones. Dungeon Fishing introduces a less intense alternative to the core extraction gameplay, allowing players to engage with the economy without high stakes. Transactions occur on Ronin and Abstract, ensuring efficient in-game economic integration.
Token plans and roadmap
Dungeon Fishing connects to Cambria’s broader token strategy, with Genesis Points linking players to the forthcoming RSGP token launch in August. Ongoing airdrops to loyal community members are part of this effort, which aims to transition from seasonal farming to a robust live economy.
Casual engagement
With the introduction of this relaxed fishing mode, Cambria is targeting a broader player demographic. This idle format offers an alternative for those disinterested in the traditional high-risk gameplay. The mode’s mechanics provide substantive engagement without requiring constant player attention.
As players can claim up to 30,000 free Grub from Mirelle, the studio encourages early participation. With real cashable rewards and Genesis Points tied to the upcoming token launch, Cambria uses Dungeon Fishing as another entry point into its on-chain economy.
