The prize pool is 2,000 $PRIME, along with Parallel swag, physical merch, Prime Passes and Glints.

The trophy

Oscar Mar, art director at Parallel Studios, designed the Community Clash Cup trophy. It also comes as an NFT.

“The CC Cup Champion will earn a 1/1 NFT of the trophy. All CC Cup players will receive an AP version as well,” Parallel said.

How the field was built

Parallel announced the 20 finalists on Oct. 14 and congratulated them for earning auto-bids to the Cup “over the past few months.” The roster changed over the summer. By August, Parallel had refreshed the list of finalists and two auto-bids were still open.

Most bids came through Community Clash, which Parallel launched in July 2026. Players who placed well at those community-level events earned bids for the finale. Studio material said the series was meant to “democratize access to competitive gaming, welcoming a broader spectrum of players into the tournament scene.”

Community Clash events were numbered, and many limited which cards were legal. CC7, for example, allowed only cards from the Haven set. Most of the qualifiers ran four rounds of best-of-one Swiss and published decklists after each event.

Qualifiers ran from July 10 through Aug. 15. TILT_Zeromioda won the Singleton Alpha Set event. Head3968 took Pauper, Czar1Klas won the Planetfall Set event, Bullbence won Aftermath Only and Tony_PGA won Deception Only.

A second route in

The Monthly Melee was another path to the Cup, aimed at ranked ladder players who skipped the community circuit. Sign-ups ran through Versus.

DualNote won Monthly Melee 1 from 28th on the leaderboard. On the way, DualNote beat the players ranked sixth, 10th, 12th and 13th, taking the Melee title and a Cup spot.

Background

The Cup has a much smaller prize pool than Parallel’s past tentpole events. The Parallel League’s second season had up to $1,000,000 in prize pools. The Prime Championship paid $250,000 to its winner, and the Planetfall Clash had a $10,000 pool.

Parallel’s blog post on the Community Clash Cup, at parallel.life/blog/community-clash-cup, is listed as the official info page. When this story was filed, the page showed only its title and a header image. It did not list the bracket format, the prize split or the finalists’ names.
