In Brief:
- Gala Games shipped an update to Mirandus (official site): Eternal Night adding guest play, a degradation and repair system, the Village of the Farmer land deed and a zone rebalance.
- Degradation ties settlements to Threat levels: unattended holdings decay, and owners can repair them.
- The update continues a rapid patch cadence that has already brought a party system, a world boss event and Gala Wallet login since the game launched April 30, 2026.
Gala Games released the Eternal Night update for Mirandus, adding guest play, a degradation and repair system, a new Village of the Farmer land deed and a zone rebalance, the studio said in a post on its news site.
The four features arrive within three months of the game’s April 30, 2026 launch, and they follow a run of patches that has steadily widened access to what began as an invite-only alpha.

Access keeps loosening
Eternal Night opened through invite links at links.gala.com/mirandus-eternal-night and required the MetaMask extension to log in. Gala Wallet login landed later, as Gala consolidated its titles onto GalaChain. The Cosmic Hunt boss event moved the game from a closed alpha toward a public format.
Guest play extends that trajectory.
Settlements can now rot
Degradation and repair connects land ownership to upkeep. Settlements left unattended decay as Threat rises, and owners can repair them. Gala has paired the system with Building Functionality, which opens trades with full services inside a settlement.
The mechanic first surfaced in the roadmap Gala published alongside the Town of the Prince, a Legendary deed pitched at players anchoring a stronghold. That deed casts light across a three-hex radius, carving a permanent safe zone out of the fog of war and suppressing enemy spawns. It grants +3 HP and +3 Energy regeneration every five seconds to anyone resting inside, and it carries 20 building, shop and housing slots on a 700-HP stronghold.
A cheaper way to put down roots
The Village of the Farmer sits well below that tier. It’s the smallest of Mirandus’s villages, an Epic-rarity deed with 20 in existence, and it was listed at $550,000 in the original deed sale.
Its layout is agricultural. The village carries four 10×10 building plots, 12 5×5 plots, 66 5×5 farming plots and eight 5×5 livestock plots, enough to run wheat from field to granary to mill to bakery to storehouse without leaving the settlement. Deedholders set which shops go where, and they set rents and requirements.
Gala said full details are coming.
Rebalancing, again
Zone rebalance is the least detailed of the four items. Mirandus has been through several balance passes already. A November 2025 development update rebalanced crafting requirements for armors, gloves and boots, updated all NPC loot drops and gave NPCs improved encounter logic. The Narrows Landing update adjusted NPC health and damage values and rebalanced weapon damage and armor defenses, along with visual work on the Red Forest and Goblin Ruins.
What the game is
Eternal Night isn’t the flagship MMORPG. It’s a persistent hex-based 2D isometric exploration RPG built to give existing Mirandus NFTs extra utility, running in a WebGL browser on desktop. There’s no client download. There’s also no mobile support.
Players enter as an Echo, the base character available to everyone, and burn Energy to move across a fog-of-war map, fight and collect loot.
The patch cadence has been quick. Early July brought the party system, letting players recruit and manage up to 10 unique warriors per account and field a party of up to five on expeditions, with Party Leaders chosen in town granting exploration bonuses to the whole squad. That update ran an Independence Day event through July 9 with a Starwarden NFT attached.
The Cosmic Hunt followed. A world boss with a persistent global HP pool spawns on the map, and players chip at it through turn-limited auto-battles. The prize pool is 1,000 GUSDC, split 70% to the player with the highest cumulative contribution and 30% to whoever lands the final strike.
The stakes on the map itself haven’t moved. Make it back to a safety zone to heal. Let a character’s HP hit zero and it dies, forfeiting all non-NFT inventory.
