Nucleus opens $50,000 Sleepagotchi contribution campaign, top 300 split the pool

Nucleus opened a contribution campaign for Sleepagotchi on Wednesday at 2 p.m. UTC. The top 300 contributors split $50,000 worth of tokens.

“$50,000 worth of tokens will be airdropped to top 300 contributors,” Nucleus said in the announcement, pointing participants to its opportunities page. The post didn’t name the ticker the pool will be paid in. Sleepagotchi hasn’t held its token generation event.

How the scoring works

Nucleus Codes scores users on activity, content, network and contribution, then ranks them. Campaign contribution is measured through content posted about the project in question.

Per mechanics circulating with the Season 2 rollout, one tweet per day counts toward a contributor’s score, capped at seven per week. Quality and authenticity are weighted. Low-effort tags carry no weight.

That structure is the pitch. Nucleus positions the leaderboard as a filter projects can use to sort real participants from farmers before deciding who gets whitelist spots, early access or a larger slice of a distribution.

Season 2 context

Season 2 runs June 23 through Aug. 13. The top 5,000 contributors across the season earn $AURA, which Nucleus said will factor into a user’s offchain reputation score once the season is finalized. Other uses for $AURA are to be announced.

Sleepagotchi isn’t the first project to stack its own pool on top. Canopy ran the same tier structure earlier in the season, committing $100,000 in CNPY to its top 300.

Where Sleepagotchi stands

The campaign arrives during Sleepagotchi’s pre-TGE stretch. The studio launched a Loyalty Program earlier this year at hub.sleepagotchi.com, where users accumulate Sleep Points that convert into airdrop allocation for $SHEEP.

Sleepagotchi has told holders to connect SOL wallets through the Hub using the email and Telegram user ID tied to their accounts. NFT holders have to claim Discord roles to verify.

A long list of prior activity has been snapshotted and counts toward eligibility: Alpha Tester Rewards, the V2 Beta streak, Discord social points, and every snapshot from Sleepagotchi RPG and from Sleepagotchi LITE on Telegram and LINE. NFT soft staking is still live and still counts. A “10 stars” badge, earned by attending 10 consecutive Community Night events, applies a 1.5x multiplier.

The TGE date remains undisclosed.

Background

Sleepagotchi’s Telegram mini-app crossed 1 million users within a month of launch. A partnership with Sony’s Soneium put the game on LINE’s mini-app platform, reaching users across Japan and the rest of Asia.

The company has since widened out from sleep-to-earn. Under CEO Kenny Wood, it launched a privacy-first wellness app running four on-device AI agents that pass state to one another: a sleep coach, a wellness coach, a meal planner and a shopping agent. If the sleep coach flags fatigue despite adequate rest, the system checks for nutritional gaps, hands an ingredient list to the meal planner and lets the shopping agent place one-click orders inside a user-set budget.

Biometric data stays on the phone and isn’t written on-chain. The company looked at building an on-chain data marketplace for researchers and dropped the idea over legal concerns.

The app connects to Apple Watch, WHOOP, Oura, CUDIS and Pulse. It has drawn more than 2 million users and took in over $100,000 in three weeks, with partnerships including Solana and Square Enix.

Sleepagotchi has raised $6.5 million to date. Backers include 6th Man Ventures, Collab+Currency, Inception, Sfermion, 1kx, Alliance, Signum Capital and GSR. The company announced a $3.5 million seed round in January 2023, closed the previous September, with angels including Duolingo VP of product Cem Kansu, Santiago R Santos and Mona founder Justin Melillo.
